That is exactly what is happening & what happened. We were paying them a lot more money than we were getting out. We couldn't grow & sell our own apples & onions anymore because we had to sell French & Spanish ones. Our farmers & fishermen were hit with heavy restrictions. We couldn't deport foreign criminals or make our own laws anymore because the E.U. said we couldn't. There are more than just E.U. countries in the world to trade with. They were giving us information about all this before the agreement to have a referendum was publicized. When the voting pamphlets were sent round we were sent 5 remain ones compared to 2 leave ones. The remain campaign just appeared to twist the facts & name-call anyone thinking about leaving. I voted leave. After the result the remainers called all the leavers racist & stupid. I am neither racist or stupid. They also petitioned for another referendum because they didn't get their own way which I think is very immature. A couple of their M.P.s told the P.M. to ignore the result which thankfully he isn't doing. I would have accepted the result whatever way it went. The leave campaign should have made a plan what they were going to do in case we left which they didn't. They need to get our factories up & running again. Later on, the money they save by not being in the E.U. which they'd be paying them weekly could go into our services. I thought the stabbing of 1 of our M.P.s was disgusting. It cannot be condoned. It was also scary as it happened 1 hr. & 10 minutes away. I disagree with all the racism which is going on. We need to buy British & stop all the name-calling & racism. The P.M. needs to invoke article 50 a.s.a.p. Then we need to get to work getting everything back to normal starting with getting our factories up & running again so we can make & sell our own stuff again. Some shops & market stalls have already started selling things in old weights & measures so we need to at least look at conversion tables. I've looked through old maths books & self-educators already & am set to work learning them. I already knew off hand that 1 1/2 cm = 1 inch, 1 3/4 pint = 1 litre & 2.2 lbs = 1 kg.
