Of the inert feeling of fear
Suffocates the shimmer of possibilities
Living in the memories sunk in the past
Inactivity bounds dreams
Listening to the rejection
Giving the negativity life

Transformation evolves with laughter
The intense need to heal
Peel away the pain
Like an onion
A little at a time
Slamming a sledge hammer
At the den of fear

As we come to the end of the year
In the company of party goers
Proud in their accomplishments
Realizing that we all have lessons
Don’t subject yourself
Comparatively searching
The differences
Levels of varied chapters in life

Stop what you’re doing
Take a deep breathe
Feel the energy change
Throughout your body
Focus on the present
Treasure the wondrous gifts
Of now

Celebrate now
Let go of the past
Life is short
Inter line that nothing will last

Circle of friends
People I can count on
Are as important
As a tree
And it’s multiple branches
Never growing in the same direction
Scattered in this way or that
Many times far apart
Vast extremes
We communicate for the testament
Love of each other
Not left for chances
Most recently many have
Travelled at the furthest
Locations of the world
Though we communicate
My penning an email
Or a text
Skype, phone call
Even snail mail
Precious are these treasured commodities
Loved for their uniqueness
Most definitely for their openness
To maintain this long distance friendship

Treasured bits of information
Transported
With love
For truly
There is no distance
To speak of
When it’s the souls connecting

Sliding into a verbal diatribe
Of existential Mumbo jumbo
Alerting my attention
Continuously to all of your
Accomplishments
Ego speaks in forked tongue
Reliable as the sun is black
Withstanding a barrage of sentences
Often nebulous in their meaning
Painting a successful picture
Constant need of attention
Being able to pull away
I see the timid boy
Insecure and a desperate need
For Center stage
Looking backwards
Stuck in a time
Where he could pick and choose
Which toy to play
And toss it away
By the end of the day

Obvious your ego requires
A constant need
To be told how
Fabulously you’ve succeeded
Usually it’s the black widow spider
That weaves her web
To sexually lure her mate
Once heightened in climax
She kills him
Much too late for a getaway

Role reversal
The web you weaved is stellar
To the naked eye
But On closer inspection
Faulty connections
Scattered here and there

Deep down there was a hope
That we would be friends
The instincts said to stay away
Yet I was curious
How the lesson would play
Now that I know
Eliminate all the cords
That have tried to entwine
Burn it at the stake
Then sit back
With a glass of red wine
Realizing these fabricated players
Smooth talking deceivers

Today is officially the last day of Autumn
First day of winter begins
On the calendar
2017 has been a conundrum
Of false expectations
The weather has proven world wide
That it flows to its own energy
Grows and wanes
Like the ascending and descending
Of breathe
In the northern Hemisphere
It’s been snow followed by rain
Our sub zero temperatures
Are incredibly warming today
It’s as though we’re given another
Chance to make peace with nature
I love days that offer me surprises
Pleasant ones reminding me
How lucky I am
To have a beautiful roof over my head
Regaining momentum
Knowing that life is short
Living it to the fullest is my main goal
Eliminating things that have become obstacle
New Moon and slowing the planet
Mercury will be going direct soon
Communication with start to have a flow  again
Just in time for Christmas celebrations
