A blanket of snow
Has fallen on the city
It feels Christmasy
Lights and decorations
Shining brightly
Looking pretty

Love the Christmas season
Spreading kindness.
Joy and laughter

So many are focused on harming
Spreading love is the key

Sending love and light
To one and all.

Inquiring minds uncover how the stories vary
Each time it’s repeated
A few more condiments are attached
To make the story teller
More attractive.

Months later
The story is far removed from the original
The fabricator is in need of accolades
Imbibing in delicious images of illusions

The original story is nowhere near
Anything that is currently repeated
Obscured by the need to perpetuate
A story where he who speaks it
Can take the reins of a hero
A god of war
In his mind, an outstanding image of Ares

Almighty and powerful

Truth is still remembered by the few involved
Story is far removed from the truth
The protagonist is now enmeshed
As the story teller
A swagger has replaced any nervousness
Bravado to make the story brilliant
With all of his embellishments

Ego has overridden honesty
The original denouement
Simply crashes
Previous excitement now sounds blasé

Entrapped and bound
To an ongoing
Surreptitiously grotesquely delusion
Where no part of the original story
Is found

Drown the churning of the cars
Trucks and buses
A park, a small getaway in the city
You’ll find me visiting
As I make my way crossing the road
Welcoming every snippet
Even in the cold
Moving spritely
Morning or nightly

Frantic as the last hours are culminating
The end of the year
Many celebrations mixed with trials and tribulations
That encouraged both a smile and a tear
Letting go of concepts that no longer serve
Accepting more joy and excitations
Many have crossed over
These last few days
Whether friends or family members
Their bodily presence will be missed
And always remembered

Throughout these ups and downs
Releasing the coils that try to bind us
Tie us down
Aspirations once dismissed
Are clamouring in our souls presence
To take note
A deeper moment of circumspection

I’m grateful for all the lessons
Especially the ones where I found
A great deal of mistakes
Knowing full well
Stumbling and falling is a quick way
For a wake up call
The concept of time is both revered and feared
As youths rushing to get older
As adults looking for ways to remain younger
In all ways, needing to celebrate from the heart
Encapsulated in love
That’s truly the beauty
Main focus
Loves depth of the heart

Wishing everyone an incredible resurgence
As the New Year takes its place in infancy
Acting upon intuitive insights
To live the best life ever
From now and forever
