So you've glimpsed inside my reality
full of fleeting moments
a question of heaven and my own sanity
a shade of my former self....loveless
to where all of it has been replaced with hate
shackled....earthbound....I'll show you my fate
one winter's eve she came to me
...an angelic spirit...
she showed me love so easily....so free
her long brown hair blew on the light breeze
...till my heart was at ease...
...so many walls had I built...
...to keep the darkness at bay...
only to find that I had walled in to stay
over time it changed into something tangible
...so malicious and vile...
...it turned into hate...
She could sense the changes deep inside of me
so cold and heartless I had become
leaving; she somehow affected my ability to LOVE
and hate grew, hidden there behind the walls
confined to myself; I tried to escape this reality
...so afraid to LOVE again...
...I let it consume me completely...
as all of my hopes were left tattered and torn
I locked myself away; hoping to fade from sight
...invisible to all of the purest light...
Years did pass, and pity took hold
for myself and ll of them I'd scorned
crawling from myself induced darkness
...I strayed back into the light...
opening the door to my now broken home
I found her there so alone
sitting upon the broken stair
I tried to speak, but no words escaped my lips
and my tears fell upon the weathered stone
I had left the world behind....including LOVE
touching her gently; she embraced me
bringing my back from this journey
back to a place once lost
somewhere between love and hate

I've sent 1 of my poems you just may like. I hope you like it. It's about my favourite animals as you've probably guessed.

Equines

In my opinion, equines are the nicest animals on earth.
I've thought that since not long after my birth.

Equines are horses, ponies & donkeys too.
That information is for those without a clue.

At 1 time, most of the world without them would be at a standstill.
They were transport, pulled canal boats & worked in the mine & mill.

They also used to pull the plough.
It's a shame they don't do it now.
