Words meant to hurt
Attacks made
By defending someone I thought was a friend
I fought for you when people called you names
I stood up for you when you were playing games
We're all chess pieces in this game of life
Some Royalty Queen or King
Others are a pawn of strife
You left me holding the bag
You said you had my back
I was to trust you
Instead you stood there
As I was under attack

Dissolution of this warped illusion

Horror and the plight
Of the struggle and the fight
To make it through the day
Constricting thoughts strangulate
The words the are begging to erupt
Syllables stammered
Tightens the complexity of fear
Like trying to manipulate clay
Without water
Parched & will crumble
If not formed without delay
Stoic calmness superficial appearance
Who knows who will notice
The disappearance
Of that little child
Fighting to live through war torn villages

Fear is written across their  innocent visages
Their screams now whimpers
As fatigue sweeps in for the malnourished

Why is it parts of the world appears flourished
With pettiness over which cellphone to purchase

While others struggle to find Food and water
With hopes to huddle in a hut for cover
Still faith in their hearts
What tomorrow they may discover
