Listening to the cacophonous sounds of the city
Hustle and bustle all around
Just minutes outside of my front door
Stepping onto the streets
Treasure trove of what's in store
Birds & squirrels & their morning greeting
One pigeon taps on the door for our breakfast meeting
I'm in awe of these wondrous events
That take place in city life
Animals of the wild can be gentle
It's the humans that conform
To the lifestyle that has become their norm
Of rushing
Running from point A to point B
Not really looking although they are seeing
i understand them
I used to be one of them
