In the stillness of the night
When all the thoughts
That plague seem so bright
Toss and turn
In your bed
Visualize movies churn
In your head
Kaleidoscope of colours
Streaming through
Some sharp, others muted
It's the different shades of blue
That keep the mirage coming
Deep breathes seem loud in the stillness
My heart pounding like drums in my ears
Many years I've been told
Sleep less than eight hours
You will look old
Shhh let me share
Conjecture of so many kinds
I sleep four
All that is needed for my mind
Sometimes I'm more creative
While all sleep
Perfect time for me to write
No one to disturb me
Not a peep
Perhaps a meow
From my adorable cat
Love him so sweet
Snuggling by my side
May hitch a ride
On his dreams

Step by step
Approaching heavens pearly gates
They say Saint Peter governs there
Must admit I've seen it in my dreams
Beautiful it was all I could do was stare
Vivid colours & the scents so sweet
I walked on clouds
Effortlessly it seems
Comfort in being there
It felt like I arrived home
But I was assured
That This was only a visit
