He cried while hiding
Never knew how to share his feelings
Wracked with grief
Drugs helped calm him
Alcohol too
Sensitive man needing to show his bravado
Deep inside his moods reeling
Smiles crept up
Reminiscent of a thief
Slipping in, rushing out
His first hello
His last good bye
He will never understand
How much he meant to us
He will never know
The tears we cry
The ugly sobs that ache
Heart breaking through the pain

Slumped over his steering wheel
Only 35
Tears keep rolling
The strain, to real
Another soul misunderstood
Were left wondering
Was there more to do
Change this story
Only if we could

I am crying for him
I am crying for me
His light is gone
Staring at a corpse
Is all that's left for us to see

Tears falling haphazardly
Uncaring what judgement the world decides
I am crying, voraciously
Cannot contain the pain that sears
Through my body
Deep inside
My heart is broken
The strain of all that lingers and aches
Has been to strong
Its not the first time
I come to realize
I don't belong
Exhaustion allows me moments of sleep
Still while I dream
My cries still seep
My heart is broken
I am left bereft
No charms, no smiles no tokens
All alone
All that is left
Is this stupid phone
