Despondent
Shivering in the cold
Wondering how to make it though the day
Temperature plummets through the night
Permeating freeze through my tattered clothes feeling old
Life's had its way
Rejected from the corporate world
Sold my soul to the commerce devil
Ascended into the height of luxury
Descended into all its vices
They called me the king of trade
Constant need of drugs, pure evil
my climb to the top
Back stabbing
Conjured lies
Paying spies
Corporate God no one could stop
Hard cold smile tattooed on my face
Granite hard my soul forgot
Dark entities had their way
I welcomed them
Prescription pills, 8 ball, heroine
Drugs a choice to fight for the space
My focus got skewed
My wife replaced
Blame & hate I placed
That sweet surrender
Drug was my lover of choice
Euphoric the need to feel that special high
Hearts and bodies I would plunder
Downward spiral was fast and hard
Without my toys
Felt my skin crawl
Constant stabbings I procured
Glass shards
Pierced my skin as I peel
The false **** smile
As I'm sleeping on a subway vent
Fighting to keep warm
Lost the fight
No need for charm
Living in the streets
Drug of choice
Any type of alcohol
Desperate need to forget it all
Hovering in my dirty tattered clothes
Fight the demons
Of my dark demented mind

Dark, I 💚 this one.

Wandering through the lushness
Of the gardens
Late at night
Basking under the full moon's light
Continuing the happiness
Of connecting with nature
That feeling of oneness
Surprised by the elation
Joy in the moment
Discovering my true obsession
Being in awe of God's glory
Mother Gaia's beauty always glowing
Father Sky beaming upon us
His energy always flowing

In awe, of the beauty of all seasons
Rebirth, blossoming
Colours changing
The insular hibernation
Exhilarated joy, for multiple reasons

All of the overthinking
That plagues me
Fear that causes anxiety
The inability to sleep
All simply wither away
With a stroll through the gardens
Late at night
Appearing to the naked eye
As though, I am out of sight

Yet, I am right here
In the middle
Smelling the change of the earth
Gleefully taking the time to listen
To hear
Insects and animals
Happily scurrying into their safe place
Cuddling with their loved ones
Face to face
As the Earth continues to evolve
And glisten

Wandering through the beauty of the garden
Mother Nature's delight

An unlived life is death
For what's on the other side
At times does coincide
With this realm
When things are good
They are real good
When things are bad
Seem to always get worse
Breathe
Flows with ease
Of constricts with tension
Nothing is what it seems
But even those amazing dreams
You focus on what you want
Or desire
If it comes too easily
There is no fire
Once a challenge is in place
One sees the determination
In your face
What's happening?
Wanting to know the future
Hopes that those fantasies
Will be realities
It's all in the willingness
To make things happen
