I have come up with another pet peeve:

idiots who change lanes from the left lane to the right lane to get in front of you only to slow down for some bloody reason.

this does not happen a lot but it does happen.

Presumably not in the city.

An eight minute drive down to my son's school is an automatic 20 minutes, daily.

En route to the school? School buses, lane changers, people who sit at green lights, drivers who refuse to yield, slow drivers who are in back of you and drive so slow that you decide to pass, once they see your turn signal they speed up, only to slow down again.

Arrgh!

It happens so often my son is starting to recognize it. He'll start laughing because he knows how peeved I get.

Darren Cahill aggravates me so much mispronouncing the same things over and over and over again.

How can you not correct something that the entire world pronounces differently?

Oh I had no idea you guys hate Darren Cahill. I like him.

Some of the Brit comms might be a bit too judgmental when it comes to Andy. These are also the commies who can't get over Nadal and Federer. Can't just seem to be fair and neutral.

I find him incredibly smug, increasingly political, and insufferably conforming.

Don't hate him, but don't like him either.

I agree. Most of them just follow the script. If JMac says something the minions parrot it. They were way too hard on Andy, for years, which used to tick me off. Regardless of Andy's journey it was obvious that he was a great talent. When they go on and on about him "faking" that drives me crazy.

When it comes to commies I like Jim Courier, Lindsay Davenport, and Katrina Adams. They talk about the game, less focus on gossip, and speak their own minds. You can't say that about a lot of the others.

I like those you mentioned as well. Can't be bothered with the likes of Patrick McEnroe, Mary Carillo and Chris Evert. Tracy Austin is a handful too. The ladies can't stop talking about Serena and Sharapova it turns out and PM can't stop hating on Andy. I just find it all too wrong.

I would have loved Sampras as a comm who can be so fair and his assessments arr quite on the mark too but I don't think he'll ever consider it. Oh well.

Agree so much, Emma.

They kill me ignoring Azarenka who is a much better competitor than Sharapova. Sure Sharapova can hang in there with lesser players, but when the rubber meets the road and she's playing Serena or Vika, more often than not, she loses. The Macs are manipulators, but I fault those who allow themselves to be manipulated more.

So, they can save those asinine comments for someone else. I'm not trying to hear it.

Also agree about Pete. Pete is so fair, but he's also so comfortable. It's doubtful he will leave his comfortable life to be in the spotlight again. One of his most admirable qualities--he's never needed the limelight.

I think jimmy arias is pretty cool. becker is funny so I don't mind listening to him once in a while.

I also like robby Koenig.

cliff drysdale is ok too.

johnny mac talks too much and Darren Cahill acts like he knows it all.

I don't really dislike him but I rather listen to the others if I am going to listen to anybody at all.

and truth be told, quite often I just turn off the volume so I can enjoy the match quietly. also it allows me to do some of my work too with out too many distractions.

I wonder if Federer would ever consider a comm position once he retires. Not too far fetch since he loves tennis so much and doesn't mind the limelight. I wouldn't mind it.

Rafa would probably have to opt for the Spanish one since he's not too comfortable with the English language but who knows.
