that is a fantastic post general masterclass.

Rafa has work to do on his backhand wing. he better get to it.

poor backhand also affects his court positioning issues and it affects his return of serve off that wing.

that is leaving too much on the table.

What we're seeing is the stubbornness of great players. Rafa used to adjust, but he's gotten complacent as of late. As far as I can remember Pete wouldn't change rackets, Fed took forever to change his, and now Rafa is following the same pattern. Maybe they think they'll just keep winning, based on their aura, but sometimes change needs to be made, and you have to be a big boy and do it.

Pretty ticked at Rafa right now, as you can tell.

Andy is so funny. I love his sense of humor. He's funny without trying to be. Cheeky, I guess you call it.

Andy Murray Admits He’d Like To Dance Like Gael Monfils!
by Tom Gainey | March 22nd, 2013
http://www.tennis-x.com/xblog/2013-03-22/11957.php

Speaking to the press yesterday at the Sony Open Tennis, Miami resident Andy Murray revealed what he’d like to be better at off the court.

“Singing is not good. Cooking is not good,” Murray said. “Most sports I’m okay at. Basketball is a sport I really like. I’m terrible at. I never played it when I was growing up, but I like it. I watch it a lot, but I’m terrible at basketball.
“I think it would be good to be a really good dancer, like Monfils is a great dancer,” he said. “He dances really well. Yeah, I think dancing would be good.”

If Murray practices hard, might we see him doing this during warm-ups at Wimbledon one day?

i think maria has left the building. what do you think happened?

we have been very kind and very thoughtful. nobody in this forum business is as kind as we are. nobody.

i think there are only 2 possibilities:

1. somebody poisoned her against us
2. we are just too quiet for her here

i know the facebook addicitons are almost impossible to break. i find that about 90% of the people are completely bogus at facebook.

there is also a lot of crime at facebook. they are able to steal your identity as well as find away to hack into your various accounts.

so vast majority of the people on facebook are bogus and not genuine.

they are also very lazy. their idea is throw something out there and hope people hit the like button.

see here we take the time to put our thoughts down. and also over time we get to know each other a little bit.

we know we can always come here and have  trust in each other. we also know that we can trust each other to do the right thing because that is what we believe in.

its a very small family here but at least it is a cool and an honest family with integrity and values.

Rafalution told me that there was a lot of fighting among various nadal groups. some of them did not get along for example.

now she left because we were not advanced enough for her. at least that is what she told me. she said we lacked the proper technology for her taste and for the taste of her friends.

there was no fight. i just left it at that. all i said was that we are doing the best we can for now.

anyway so it is possible that some nadal groups don't care for us here at Camelot. perhaps they see us competition. that leads me to this possible theory that some nadal group on facebook poisoned her against us.

Rafa's so down-to-earth. I love that he doesn't the usual champion's mentality. He and Andy act the same way as when we first met them on tour. They are both so grounded and not into the superstar mentality. They just do themselves and let the chips fall where they may. Awesome sportsmen and awesome human beings, as well.

I don't think so. I think the whole purpose of forums is to vent your feelings. You can take out your frustrations by acting in a way that you can't in real life. People can get attention, be the star of the forum, etc.

I think that's empowering to some people, and it's also a trap, because people get used to being snarky with each other instead of caring about the sport. We don't do that here. We are true tennis enthusiasts.

I'll have to finish this later because I have to go and pick my knucklehead up from school. Yeah, he did it. But that's another story...

OK, I'm back.

Anyway, our market is for those who truly love the game and have been watching it for years. Those who actually want to discuss tennis, not get into unnecessary flame wars, or prove we're smarter than the next guy. We just have to find our market, they're out there looking for us.

Facebook and Twitter seems to draw people with short attention spans and most forums draw idiots. The trick is to find those tennis fans who simply want to discuss the sport that they love with mature and rational people. Sounds easy, but it's a lot harder than it appears.

I am out on the ocean today.

I saw the first set before I left.

Rafa is not going let nole escape this time.

He is far from his best form but he is going use all the gears he has.

Rafa has the mental edge. I am taking Rafa in straight sets or 4 at best.

Maria was pretty new to the sport, so she (and this is my opinion) has to get used to the ups and down of following a sports hero. No one wins all the time, but when you fixate on a particular player the highs are stratospheric and the lows are very depressing. It takes a lot of emotional energy, and I don't think she was prepared for that. I think she may be better able to balance it with time, but it's the same as having a favorite actor. You love everything that they do and then their next movie is a dud. You feel betrayed and fearful of their demise.

Quite common for newbies, I think.

Agreed. Mutray is one of my faves too. He and Rafa are the only two where I like both their games and their personalities. Usually, you have to settle for one or the other. In my case, they bring both attributes to the table.
