hard to believe that big John is 30 already.

seems like it was just yesterday when he was playing for the university of Georgia.

It sure does. When they mentioned that last week I was shocked. They're all  get older and it seems like time is flying. I'm going to hate to see the Big 4 retire. I don't see anyone on the horizon that piques my interest.

been going to baton rouge more often general.

mom fell down a few days ago. dad rushed her to the hospital for a number of tests. we brought her back home the following day.

she is well now. all the tests were normal.

it was stress, anxiety, dehydration, and the like. it was her first ever fall.

anyway I just talked to her. mom and dad went to the mall for a walk and coffee a little while ago. right now they are both at home doing more exercises. they are both riding stationary bikes side by side.

I have fallen off my bikes at least 100 times. ha ha. I am the king of falling.

Your mom fell riding a bike?

this is roughly where I am general.

this new bay saint Louis bridge is about 10 miles away from my place here:

hurricane Katrina had taken out the old bridge.

Wow, that's so beautiful it doesn't look real. It looks more like a portrait than a picture. Never been to Louisiana. It looks like an interesting place.

You survived Hurricane Katrina? Where you there when it happened? What did you do? Did it impact your place? Wow, I didn't put two and two together.

nobody in my family had ever fallen before so this was a shock.

I am the only one who falls and that is usually in the mountains when I am riding mountain bikes.

at least twice I have fallen on the road when riding bikes. once time I crashed at high speed when I was out on a training ride.

I fell in front of an oncoming car. a lady was driving.

she stopped her car just in time. I was also not wearing a helmet. I hit my head hard against the road which would knock me out for a few seconds.

I may have told you about this. I broke my wrist that day and it has never been the same since.

Oh my goodness. So many falls. I would not be doing that anymore. I'm too much of a coward.

Gotta love this houseboat and location

Beautiful brick stilts protect this house from the elements

state of the art grill and lighting with an airy porch and great bayou view

Castle Irish Bayou near I-10 as you leave New Orleans heading east to Mississippi.

Respectfully,
masterclass

Great pics. I've never seen anything like this before. I don't think I could live that close to the water, though.

it is time to start thinking about the favorites for the Wimbledon crown general:

I think Andy is back in the picture he has lost 8 in a row to nole. at some point in time he will find a way to reverse that at least temporarily.

Federer also has the game to derail nole on grass.

so here are my 2 picks for the Wimbledon crown this year:

1. Andy
2. Roger

Good picks, but I would put Andy in there though. His progress has been slow and steady, but what he has done has been consistent. He seems different on court now, as opposed to just trying to get back. He's ready to challenge again, I think.

Yeah, it really sounds awful general.

My youngest girl just rode her first two wheel bike by herself a couple of days ago.  She learned her balance pretty quickly - about an hour.   I pushed her and off she went.
She wears a helmet - it's required here for kids.   I hope she has better luck than yours, but I expect she'll fall a few times as well.

Respectfully,

I'm sure she will. I remember riding a back one day at my friend's house. I had on a very cute dress and ran into a utility pole. I scraped my elbow and got a hole in my sleeve, and that was the last time I ever rode a bike.

I love bikes.

between me and my brother we have around 30 of them.

I have 11 mountain bikes alone.

I don't do it anymore but I have done some technical trails in Durango with 1000 mile death drops.

one mistake and you are gone. vanished forever.

no recover from such a fall.

You're a daredevil. That's a lot of bikes you own. I cannot imagine driving in the mountains. I can't imagine riding a motorized bike. I use the Fred Flintstone method, dragging my feet on the ground when I feel like I'm losing control.

here is the flume trail general. as you can see, it is not all that technical.

the hardest part is getting to it. it is over 2 miles of solid climbing before you can even get to this trail.

Oh my, you climb and then ride? You must be in great physical condition. Do you have a certain routine?

your girl will love bikes. they are a lot of fun but you will have to keep an eye on her when she rides.

I am still not wearing helmets on my training rides. just a bad habit.

I was about 4 when I first got on a bike. it only took me a few seconds before I fell off.

I fell off from a horse also the very first time ever I got on one. it was in Oregon a few years back.

So you're an outdoorsy kind of guy? That's a far cry from your beach living. Those are two extremes General.

order of play for tomorrow:

http://www.atpworldtour.com/scores/schedule.aspx?year=2015&eventid=416

Great matches for tomorrow. It's hard to pick the favorites. Federer and Berdych are both playing great, so that should be a treat.

I thought Goffin had lost today.

Hopefully Rafa gets past Stan.

Vika and Maria. I'm rooting for Vika.

fognini took out Dimitrov today.

it was 6-0 in the deciding frame.

fog is going to be famous.

Fognini has been playing great. I can't believe he bageled Dmitrov. Dmitrov is a strange player to watch for me. He fluctuates between great and pedestrian. He doesn't have good control over his emotions either.
