Now, that you have reminded me, there was something I loved about older girls my sisters' age. Probably the same reasons as you had.
There were 2 in particular I loved and I would sit beside them in church on Sundays. Alternating. Smh.

When I was a kid my mom didn't let us venture far but, she would let us have "Sunday dinner" with a few "select" friends after church. We had youth sevice on Sunday nights and so it was only for a few hours.

This particular Sunday, I asked to go home with an older girl (lord we really are the same person ha!) that my older brother was dating and later married. She was trying to impress my brother when she invited me.
I was 7yrs old- no older.

Anyway, once I got to her house I noticed it was in such disarray.
While waiting on dinner, I was playing with a little ball that got lost and after being exasperated at not finding it I said, "it's really dirty here" or something equally obnoxious. I also think I told her it was boring.
Awful experience actually, lol.

Weeks later, I was playing outside without shoes on - something my mom forbade us to do and so when she pulled up in the driveway that particular day and shook her finger at me Lol, I started running to the house to get my shoes- surely this is what she was upset about.
Girl, she had seen my bros, GF's mom at the market and she told her what I had said.
She made me feel so bad. I may have gotten a spanking - It was very rare if so but my mom did not tolerate disrespect in any form. I don't remember that part but, I just remember how bad I felt after. I felt so stupid and never realized I had hurt someone's feelings by what I had said.

Hilarious story! I used to get in trouble for sass too.

After that, even at that age I became really sensitive about just always saying what I was thinking or hurting people with my opinions. Lol.

I often wondered where that little girl went. I guess nowhere. Hahaha. I just channeled it differently but I am still very sensitive to people's feelings.

I did catch the part where they said Kenya was not trying to say she got engaged. People are stupid anyway. Why would that be the only evidence you needed to think someone was engaged even weeks after the tweet.

The jury is still out for me too on James and Jaimi. Don't trust them. Something's not right. We may not know WHAT yet, just like you said but something's there.

@ Vivica. I saw a colorful ad/invite for an Easter Sunday service where she was speaking. It was posted on her twitter way back when. So, I figure this was something she does- like Phaedra. Probably got the idea from her.

You know she took an offering from those numb skulls - and anyone who would show up to hear her speak about anything regarding how to live your life in accordance to the Bible is a numb skull.
"God bless you darling" does not qualify you to preach a sermon. Anyone who would show up for a service to hear someone invoke a scripture on one side of their mouth and call someone a Trick out of the other needs their heads checked. Weak minded People. SMDH

I knew that was a very skewed story Porsha was telling. Her stories barely made sense, him letting her know via twitter that he was divorcing her, BS

He may have been controlling but we now see why. She couldn't go to the strip clubs and be in certain environments because he knew that he married a ho. He knew where he found her.
He was trying to give her another experience and he knew she could be influenced.

A man who puts YOUR mother in a nice home is not a bad person by any stretch. A controlling man shuts your family out- instead of embracing them.

A mother in-law certainly doesn't feel comfortable enough to bring a pizza into his bedroom and eat it on his white sofa- even if it does partially belong to her daughter. They obviously felt at home. Perhaps a bit too much.

Porsha is a liar & we see where she ended up. Kordell is definitely thanking his lucky stars.

I saw a video where he said he met her in church. Dianne must have gotten wind that a former baller was attending church and cleaned up her skanky daughter to capitalize on that opportunity. Ergo, Porsha became a temporary "pastor." I think they felt comfortable because they had effectively "fooled" him. They didn't understand that Kordell actually had real morals and not fake ones, like theirs.

My niece who is my BF is very successful - a VP at her company and a pretty girl but does not have a lot of success with relationships.
She is such a good person too. She has all the right stuff but, amongst other things she sure picks losers.

I see things so clearly- not because I am smarter but because I am older.
She always says "I am the younger version of you so tell me what the wiser me should do."
She wants advice and she listens but she's still going to do what she wants. I sure wish she would really listen. Sigh...

That's unfortunate. Hopefully, she'll learn.

So funny @ your son and that 2 year age difference but its true.

On the flip side, my sister who is only 3 years older than me wanted NOTHING to do with my sister and I outside of family until we were around 18 and then the gap gradually closed in. She was totally uninterested. Lol!
& you broke the ages down relative to compatibility perfectly. We all get there:

I love her. She is the most real, down to earth, funniest, say the darnedest things out of her mouth, person you could ever meet.

I finally figured out her struggle though. As close as we all were, I think she felt she didn't belong anywhere in our family structure. She had no "buddy.". Especially since my mother was so strict about what we could do outside of her. Wild.

Have you heard the news? It sounds like Claudia isn't coming back. They were talking about it on TT, but I couldn't find the original source. How depressing is that? In the same vein, they were saying that Porsha and Phaedra are out. Kenya will be the only unmarried woman on the show. I couldn't find where Tamara said it, and people are unsure if it's Claudia's choice. I guess I'll have to check Twitter to see where this rumor emanated from.

So Demetria has been in the studio everywhere working on music…ropping by Kandi’s factory to do a few things…flying everywhere doing concert…selling her singles on iTunes…and more. Demetria and Claudia are the two RHOA that always seem to be working all the time this summer.

I was having problems the last four days too. It would let me write a post but I had difficulty posting them. I had to do my posts on MS Word and then after a few tries it would let me in. Perseverance, LOL>

I loved your latest poetry. I hope it doesn't come from experience. It sounds like a lot of broken hearts. Of course I've forgotten what a broken heart feels like, but when I read your poetry, it's like, "Ah yeah, I remember that." Ha ha ha.

About this show, don't think we're crazy, but there's so many dynamics and layers to it, and people keep thinking it's just entertainment. But is it? Is anything just what it appears on the surface? I don't think so. There's always an underbelly to everything.

Bobbi and I can't stop dissecting this show, as I'm sure you've noticed. A harmless pastime.

"Producers are looking for a storyline about her husband, who is whispered to be bi-sexual."

The sources that FunkyDineva spoke to claimed that Bravo was also interested in adding another fresh face to the cast but wasn't able to get a name:

In April, Cynthia Bailey found herself defending her husband’s fidelity against “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-stars Porsha Williams and Phaedra Parks. As you may recall, the former model addressed the cheating whispers in a blog post, writing:

Peter is the most accessible husband on the show. Tons of women walk through the doors of Bar One and Sports One every day. If he is too nice, he is flirting. If he is too standoffish, he is an a—hole.

If Peter was cheating on me, I would know about it. Any woman that has been with my husband knowing he is a married man is not going to keep it a secret. They are going to tell someone. Women with no self-value or integrity will always go out of their way to make sure the wife finds out. In their small minds, it’s a victory.

Unfortunately, nearly two months after Bailey made those comments, questionable footage of Thomas interacting with another woman surfaced. In the clip, which was shared with The Shade Room by a clubgoer, Peter can be seen speaking into a woman’s ear while holding her neck and caressing her chest.

On one hand, Thomas can argue that clubs are loud and sometimes you have to get close to be heard over the loud music. However, it’s going to be tough to explain why he was so comfortable with this woman that his hand found its way to her neck and chest.

See, I don't see where she's been confirmed. It sounds likes she's reasoning that she'll be back because of her fans on social media who want to see her back. Even the article states that it's not official. The only way I see Porsha coming back is if Kim isn't a Nene fan and won't ally with her. Which I can't see Kim doing. In that case Nene probably would beg Bravo to keep Porsha on. Other than that Bravo wants to be rid of Porsha because she's a liability. Her hair pulling incident went far deeper than it appeared.

Remember, they wanted her off even before that. They say she acts like a diva and thought that her job was secure because she was sleeping with one of the producers.

Hiring an entire fashion team - creative, production, cost of materials, merchandising, as well as the business side along with Branding, PR, QC on and on, is no joke. I didn't even break it down and THATS just for the merchandise. What about the real estate?
...and last but not least, cost of production at the factory to keep orders/ merchandise flowing especially on a vertical retail level will NOT happen without major capital. And this is all upfront and on the spot payments. No down payments here. And THEN the monthly cost rolls in.

Nene could NEVER in her lifetime do this on her own. I'm thinking Nene simply may have sold the license for KK to use her name. If so, KK is the Holding company and is handling everything.

No need to use her own name as it is officially Nene's line but, in name only. KK most likely does not want her name attached to this. They just own rights to the name and the company.
This scenario is the most likely.

They already have an entire staff, factory relationships etc in place for their own line. They will use the same materials and get great minimums there.
They will just add another label to their own and make the staff do extra work.
The only New cost is the Real estate.

Again, if this is so and likely is- Nene is getting a percentage and POSSIBLY some creative control.
It's why as I said, I bet they carved out a major profit- most of it for themselves.
I would love to know the details.
That will tell you how good her folks are at negotiating.

If it blows out Nene can ask for more next negotiation. They probably hemmed her up for a while though -For what they contend the" life" of her popularity. I'm sure someone did that analysis.
When it stops selling they will drop her. Probably got a nice little "out" clause in there for themselves.

Me too. they haven't wanted Porsha since her first year. Remember she was on the chopping block after her first season ended and I think she was persuaded by Nene and Phaedra to fight Kenya. That secured her another season as the balance seemed to be too delicate for Bravo. This is Nene, her putting out an article about having a store that requires three different locations could very well be Fashion Police 2.0. I don't believe anything about Nene until it materializes. Why on earth would she need three locations to sell Girl Bye shirts? Who, outside of her demographic is going to buy that crap?

...and last but not least, cost of production at the factory to keep orders/ merchandise flowing especially on a vertical retail level will NOT happen without major capital. And this is all upfront and on the spot payments. No down payments here. And THEN the monthly cost rolls in.

Nene could NEVER in her lifetime do this on her own. I'm thinking Nene simply may have sold the license for KK to use her name. If so, KK is the Holding company and is handling everything.

That's probably it. But, I can't see KK putting money like that on Nene. If she does, she's an idiot.

No need to use her own name as it is officially Nene's line but, in name only. KK most likely does not want her name attached to this. They just own rights to the name and the company.
This scenario is the most likely.

Still...hasn't she seen the tide turning against Nene?

They already have an entire staff, factory relationships etc in place for their own line. They will use the same materials and get great minimums there.

They will just add another label to their own and make the staff do extra work.

The only New cost is the Real estate.

Again, if this is so and likely is- Nene is getting a percentage and POSSIBLY some creative control.
It's why as I said, I bet they carved out a major profit- most of it for themselves.
I would love to know the details.
That will tell you how good her folks are at negotiating.

If it blows out Nene can ask for more next negotiation. They probably hemmed her up for a while though -For what they contend the" life" of her popularity. I'm sure someone did that analysis.
When it stops selling they will drop her. Probably got a nice little "out" clause in there for themselves.
