Kenya possibly out Porsha in RHOA Casting Tea Update

Okay, I have been getting info all weekend on RHOA casting which “officially” starts filming today. And I don’t like it one bit. I admit I post the tea faster when it is something I want to hear and try like hell to disprove it if it is something bad. This is bad. Like really bad.

The last RHOA casting scoop I had said that Nene, Kenya, Kandi and Cynthia were in and Claudia, Porsha, and Phaedra were on standby. Once Nene “left” I know we here at TamaraTattles were hoping that Claudia would come back. Well, that is not what I am hearing.

The thing about this very early casting tea is that things change all the time and nothing is set in stone. What I am hearing now is that the only people who seem completely safe are Kandi and Cynthia.  What about Kenya you ask? Because I have asked that to everyone I know, and it seems that Kenya and PHAEDRA are in the same pot.  Producers are worried about both of them having enough storyline to be a full time housewife. They are both going to film and decisions will be made in a few weeks as to what to do with them.  I can’t imagine Kenya not coming back, ESPECIALLY with Nene gone, but this is the word on the street in both NYC and Atlanta.

Even worse, Claudia is still OUT and Porsha is back IN. Again, this to me is a casting mistake in my opinion. It looks like Porsha may be getting her peach back. She reportedly has found a “boyfriend” to date on the show. Wouldn’t it be funny if it was Walter? Who the HELL wants to film with Porsha? No one, that’s who! So to review, Kandi, Cynthia and Porsha seem destined to return. Kenya and Phaedra are in the possible category and Claudia is still out at this point.

The other bit of tea is that Kim Fields is not fitting in with the other women. The returning cast mates don’t think she is a good fit for the show. (That is the polite way of saying they don’t like her.)  HOWEVER, production is very pleased with her.  No one has mentioned the other three hopefuls at all. I didn’t ask about them specifically, because like I always say  I try to listen to what I am given and not ask too many questions so that my sources don’t get irritated and stop talking.

To me, this sounds like a disaster. I know that Kandi is popular on the show, And I love Cynthia, But I don’t see a show where Kandi, Cynthia and Porsha are steering the ship. UGH.

I don't believe this.  It doesn't make sense. Kenya would not be speaking the way she is, putting herself out there doing interviews and so confident about her return if this were true.

I am starting to doubt Tamara's sources now. How can the same people that told her that Kenya received her pick up letter and also say she is signed and confirmed now say she is on the fence and in the same pot as Phaedra.
I don't believe this one bit.

I understand things change. I could see if the sources say someone who wasn't confirmed (like Porsha) has now received a contract because that could change.
But when you go from sent, received pick up letter and confirmed to now on the  fence, you lose me.  That is not change. Someone was wrong.

It is like they are using Tamara to gauge viewer reaction or either she is in on it because she should be smarter than that.

Imo, Either her sources aren't worth chit or they are yanking her chain to gauge viewer reaction OR to keep a buzz going to create hype and build anticipation for the show.
They know other sites copy Tamara's stories.

Since Tamara is a smart woman she must be in with them.
Why wouldn't she question this?  Something is not right.

But back to my original intent. I remember T's post about Kenya being signed, sealed, and delivered too, so what the heck is T doing? The post wasn't that long ago, surely she would have addressed that. That's what seemed fishy to me. She just ignored that she told her readers that crock of bull several days ago. And remember how with the whole Nene quitting. T was very quiet. Everyone was reporting on that story but her. Usually she's way ahead of the curve, so what's going on? Why has T changed so drastically within the last month or so?

I was checking daily on that story about Nene, and nothing. I was thinking something was off based on that alone.

As I was reading it I was thinking these sources are yanking her chain. I think Bravo is putting all this stuff together to gauge viewer interest. They're putting out all of these stories so that we won't know what to expect.

Not to mention Claudia was talking the other day saying everything was still up in the air and that the fat lady hadn't sang yet. She said even last year she spent a lot of time ironing out the details of her contracts.

Bravo is leaking wrong information to the sources and production. That's why they're filming everyone so that no one knows who the extra players are. Last week RT had that story about Phaedra coming back and they filmed Porsha's birthday although she had already had her birthday get together with Keshia Knight-Pulliam and some other people. I didn't believe that story either. Then, there was the story about Kandi being the lead on the show. I don't believe that either. I think T's original story was correct and now they want to shake it up again.

Not only that I think T would've been livid, cussing, and angry. She was too laid back. That is not T.

Oh,  and one of the stories even said that Porsha was not a fan favorite, so why would Bravo have her back? None of it makes any sense.

This is a stretch but, maybe Bravo thinks Kenya let too much info out of the bag in her interview.  Maybe they wanted everything to remain a mystery until THEY announced the cast. Remember,  Kenya had been coy and saying up to that point, "I can't say, but you can guess."  Why now was it all of a sudden okay to say she was returning and give that nod to Kim's joining in the interview?  I wondered about that even at the time.
Maybe Bravo threw in this little wrench to add the little mystery back that Kenya took away.

That's exactly what I think too. Bravo is going out of their way to keep Season 8's cast a mystery and Kenya was letting the cat out of the bag. Before, all of the articles were saying that Kenya was confirmed, so I think we have it right.

Tamara had better be careful or she is going to lose credibility.

One thing that was obvious during Kenya's interview though was that little eye roll she did at the mention of Kim's name so there seems to be some truth to that part of the story.

I noticed that too. I was like WTH? But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I wouldn't be surprised at Porsha but, I don't believe the Kenya portion at all.

I can’t figure out if I am just really bad at explaining things, are y’all just refuse to understand things. Perhaps it is because I know who the sources are that I find this whole dismissal of the facts as “publicity” (um I am the only one who knows and I know the people telling me are telling me about what is going on) or “contract negotiations” ( because um, with the exception of Nene that could not possibly apply to the filming notes) I’m just going to stop reading these comments. I didn't think much about the exchange between her and the girl who said that Nene was popular. Because Nenetards say that all the time, even on RT. What they fail to realize is that even if you no longer watch RHOA people still like to spill their venom on Nene. In Nene's case popularity doesn't equate to likeability. They miss that part. And the Tatum Girl seemed to be alluding to the fact that whenever T covers Nene she gets more clicks, which may be true, but T didn't want to hear that.

She was sensitive about people doubting her sources though. But she has to realize that her information lately has been dubious. Just suck it up.

Exactly.  Good call.  I forgot the article saying Phaedra was bargaining/agreeing to let Bravo film her life. I don't believe she would let those cameras  anywhere near that AS case OR Apollo's reckless  mouth at this point.  I questioned but dismissed that, and  now this article.

 It wasn't the girl that made me raise an eyebrow-please, I know that is a Nene stan's favorite line on any blog. It was Tamara's reaction and her sensitivity to the girl talking about clicks. Tamara is the first to throw in someone's face that every time you click she gets paid so why so sensitive now?

It's almost like Tamara  feels a little guilty for writing a bullchit story for clicks.
You know, Tamara has already given herself an out since she has repeatedly told us how many times production changes their mind and that pretty much gives her cart blanche to write as many stories as she pleases, up until the cast is announced, and I wouldn't put it past her.

Any woman who begs for people's used phones and ask people to donate to her happy pill fund would do that in my book.

Then, her anger and defensiveness at people questioning the sources was a bit over the top imo.

Someone needs to mention Kenya's interview to Tamara. I wonder what her reply  would be to that.  Would she call Kenya a liar too?

Most - not all but, Most of the TT regulars would follow Tamara into the sea like the pied piper. If she said she hated Kenya next season- they would too.
That others are questioning is just another red flag to me.  Some of them won't even touch the Kenya portion of that article and other regulars have not even bothered to post.  That is odd as well for a casting article about Kenya.

Do you remember a couple of weeks ago when RT posters were going in on Tamara? They were accusing her of writing anything just for clicks. I wonder if someone emailed Tamara and let her know how they were trashing her and that’s why she’s being sensitive; I’m just hazarding a guess.

That sounds feasible that Tamara might feel guilty for doing what the others have been doing all along. She prides herself on getting the real story, but with all of these sudden changes, she very well may have succumbed to the pressure of writing flimsy articles for clicks.

I’m about 50/50 on Tamara giving herself an out, Bravo did this last year too with the Porsha was gone, she was back, it was just a mess, so who knows? This year is particularly bad. I think Bravo is behind it; confusing production and insiders as they leak false stories. At this point I’m not even sure if Nene isn’t coming back. Bravo is cheap like that, anything to keep viewers guessing.

I’m still shaking my head over the used phones. That one got by me.

That’s true about Kenya being on the fence. It doesn’t make sense and ordinarily Tamara is good at going back and saying “I know I said this, but…” Now she’s defensive. It does make you pause.

I didn’t see that “I still think Kenya will pull out a peach." When you put all the pieces together it doesn’t make sense. I doubt she would call Kenya a liar, but it would be interesting to see how she weasels her way out of that. I don’t see Kenya making something like that up so…

I noticed that everyone skirted around the Kenya debacle as well. I thought that was odd. I don’t remember one poster commenting on it at all.
