CAMELOT FANTASIES

Kaliméra, dear mortals.
I am Triton. I belong to the Okeanos Pantheon. My home is deep under the sea and I would love for you all to come visit and play some football in my stadium. Unfortunately, humans cannot be trusted. Our poor Atlantis was destroyed due to human curiosity. You’re not all bad, some of you have gone to great lengths to preserve our ancient buildings and monuments. I thank you for that. As leader of the Tritones, it is my responsibility to protect the Aegean from our enemies, foreign and domestic. Yes, I am a god, but I don’t expect anyone to worship me.
Well…at least not in this century.
Who am I kidding? I go by Taznikos Abyssos now. Taz, for short. Even though I take my job seriously, I do like to have fun. On my down time, I used to love the ladies. Emphasis on “used to”.
A couple of weeks ago, my father sent me on a mission to seek out and protect a mortal named Ariadne. Now, this was supposed to be a “grab the girl and stick her in a hole somewhere” kind of thing. Once I saw those beautiful hazel eyes of hers…nope, not gonna happen. She’s mine.
So, I did something…shall I say, totally out of my character. You can’t blame me. There was a real danger and I needed to get Ari away and out of harm’s way. I won’t tell you what I did. My boys give me enough grief as it is.  I guess you’ll have to read Yelle’s book to find out. I may have felt silly, but I did what I had to do, to make sure Ari was safe and by my side.
By the way, thanks Yelle for writing about me. Didn’t know you cared.
