Jay Gatsby
I am a man who is after a woman's heart
I wonder what could ever motivate me more than how Daisy does
I hear chairs moving, doors opening, and people laughing
I see mostly strangers and not very many friends
I want to make myself appear wealthy
I am a man who is after a woman's heart
I pretend I've got it all together, when really I am a hopeless romantic
I feel lonely, desperate, and longing
I touch my possessions and offer them to my parties
I worry that I won't be everything for her
I cry at the thought of Daisy rejecting me
I am a man who is after a woman's heart
I understand how I really achieved my wealth
I say I went to Oxford
I dream of dancing with Daisy in the moonlight
I try to get her attention the best way I know how
I hope she can see what I see in her
I am a man who is after a woman's heart
