I would love to go to the USO, but the older I get the less I want to travel...anywhere. I often think that if I won an exotic trip I would trade it in for the cash money, just because I don't like the hustle and bustle of planning, traveling, hotel rooms, etc.
The only way I would go anywhere is to take my son so that he can experience it, but he is worse than me. I did do some traveling when I was younger and loved it, but now I'm too complacent. I get just as much joy as looking at the pictures from the comfort of my bed, which I know is not the same. Alas, I have gotten lazy and complacent. It's a shame, but I haven't been able to shake it. Odd, huh?
You should only do the things that make you really happy so don't worry about traveling all that much. It can be tiring too and if you are not feeling well, then it will make you tired just thinking about it. I remember one time I fell so sick that staying in bed made me the most happy and I used to wonder how people had so much energy to do all those things they were doing at that time.
But I do hope you make it to USO at least one time and see some of your favourite players since you really seem to love the idea of it. I really love USO. If both Sampras and Andy weren't so into Wimbledon, I probably would have picked USO first and then Wimbledon. I just love the atmosphere there. It's wild and really lively. I don't see it at Wimbledon. Wimbledon is bit quiet and reserved though when Andy won Wimbledon in 2013, it came alive. That was electric.
