Congratulations to both Nole and Nishikori. Nishi's 4th title of the year and Nole's 5th - overall 46 career singles titles for Nole. Nole is truly the No. 1 player of this year especially because of the supreme consistency he's shown despite getting married and having a baby.

But it is such a shame for Berdych who was able to take only 2 games off Nole and he was the No. 3 seed in this tournament. Nole just exposed Berdy's fragile mentality and showed who's the boss.

Much better final at the Japan Open where things went to the final set with Nishi winning. It's not easy to win against a solid server like Raonic but he gets the job done regardless. So much to like about this little guy of ours. Very refreshing to see Nishi coming together in this manner after all the injuries.
