left untreated, this condition can lead to sepsis.
and a whole host of other complications.
my position was this:
the body is significantly weaker now since he took powerful antibiotics for 5-6 days. that weakened state can lead to injury because of his very demanding style of play.
we will talk more about this tomorrow.
Oh God I had to go and find out what sepsis is all about. lol but you learn something new everyday. Doesn't sound very pretty, no. I am sure the body is weaker due to powerful antibiotics but I just have serious trouble believing that he'd take that much risk to his health given how ambitious he is. Also, think about all the time he's taken off in the past from time to time just to heal the injuries and perhaps rejuvenate, so I feel there just might not be as much danger in it as much we are making it out to be. I, for one, don't believe at all that Nadal is that dumb. Or Uncle Toni.
Also, he's won his match yesterday in straight sets. If he was any weaker he would have struggled physically which he didn't. What's your thought on that?
Maybe he wants to finish the year ranked 2 so that he can have a better start come 2015. There are only 2 tournaments left after this after all - Paris and WTF - so maybe he's stretching it even physically. Could just be part of the plan. Maybe he'll get the surgery done right after.
