that was john Kennedy's speech many moons ago. he said something to that effect:

"ask not what your country can do for you. ask what you can do for your country.

emma nobody got downgraded. I basically made a mistake. there was nobody here and there were 20 admin people.

hardly anybody posting and 20 admin. it just did not make any sense.


I thought we would like clowns unless we simplified the situation.

so now we have pretty much just the right arrangement.

we also had barely 20 members back then. now we have 55.


people like javi and sid were simply not around. I had not seen them in ages I thought they left.

and slasher and freaky were stroking each other around the clock at MTF. why would these people want an admin position in a place they don't believe in and are never there to support it in any way?

so that was another reason to reduce admin.


finally if we believe in Camelot and help it grow and stuff then our greatest reward will be a very cool place that we all helped build. and we will have built it from absolute scratch. there is a lot of pride in that.

bottom line: I made a mistake. I was way too generous in my thinking and I wanted to share it all with the others but there was hardly anybody here.


my problem is that I have been always too kind and too generous. in fact it because of sid and nekro that I left tennis frontier castle. they said their posts were being deleted at the castle.

of course I made some mistakes: I should have consulted baron and ironed out everything.

but the bottom line is that I was defending sid and nekro. I also went after babbs, alex, and monster for attacking and insulting sid.

it was like pulling teeth to get scott to give freaky a mod position after mtf threw him out on the street. I wanted to do something nice for him. so he throws a knife in my back the first chance he gets.


I give him a 2nd chance here at Camelot and make him admin and he spits on that opportunity.


I have done too much for people and it doesn't seem to get me anywhere. I got javi mod positions at tennis4you and then at tennis frontier. and I did this at the time mtf was shitting on him. mtf took away his mod position. these days he posts at mtf.

anyway then I made him admin here. today he laughs at us. he has been by here a few times and does not even care enough to say hello to anyone.



so all this kindness and generosity has netted us exactly nothing. they take you for a fool instead.


we are just not going to worry about anything anymore. we will make it here one way or another because our very unique proposition at Camelot.

all we need is time and we have that at the moment. we can build and create in the mean time.


just look what general CETSVids is doing for example. he is building for now and for the future. he is building and creating engaging content.

why? because he cares enough for Camelot and for us.



we are at home at last. and we call Camelot home.

and if you want to call Camelot home too then you are more than welcome to do so. the gates are open and the doors are open. furthermore, they will always be left open.

all you have to do is walk in and pull up a chair.

I don't think Sid ever wanted to be an admin but once he was, he accepted it. But once it was taken away from him, he probably thought you were falling out with him and that perhaps the only part that upset him. Also, Siddy doesn't typically post as much - he posts mostly when Andy is actually involved in tournaments but you know, he's been out with a back surgery for a while and that even slowed things down for Sid. I don't think there's more to it really as far as Siddy is concerned. I know him too well to know that he's not one of those people who's hungry for Admin power on forums of all places. He's a good person and a dear friend whom we can trust like Luggy.

Anyway, I don't think you made a mistake either. You just did what felt right at that time. If you were more aware or could see the future then perhaps you would have been able to make a more appropriate decision, but that's not possible. But at the same time, you can definitely make notes from these 'mistakes' so that you can make a better decision in the future. See, in the project world, we have a thing called "Lessons Learned". So basically we make a list of all the things that went wrong in the project and all the things that could have been prevented etc. and we keep it for our future reference. It's a great exercise especially for those who tend to make the same mistakes again and again.

The reason I was personally never too keen on the Admin job is because I know what it entails. An admin job is not only about posting but also, it's about making the forum more efficient as it moves along so there's a lot of Admin work involved as well. And frankly, you've done about 95% of the job as far as this forum is concerned and only a few of us kept it running by posting regularly. Given that, I don't see how anyone should get upset over this, when just mere posting seemed like too much to ask from them. In all honestly, I get baffled by it. Human beings are so peculiar and strange that not a day go by I don't stop and think. I mean if you kick a dog, 5 years from now if it sees you again, it will become alert sensing you might kick it again; whereas human beings would probably plan for 5 years just to get back to you, just to get even. And we are supposed to be conscious beings. If we are conscious then what we are really conscious about? Because it seems to me, their conscious is mostly driven by greed, lust, power etc. I mean how many people actually go out their way to help out others without expecting nothing in return? Not too many apparently.

Anyway, I think I am going off topic here lol but you get my point.
