It's not that simple. Gulbis, after all, beat two very worthy players (Dimitrov and Del Potro) before meeting with Berdy and there's only so much left after doing all that work. His draw was brutal here otherwise I would have given him the trophy. And Cilic too had done his fair share of homework before reaching the fina - beat Murray for instancel. But yes, I am very happy for Berdy too. I thought Berdy, Cilic, Gulbis were all very in form in this particular tournament but overall, Berdcy looked much better considering his great run at the AO, where he fell short against Stan, but he didn't just hand it to Stan. It was a very well fought match. It was great to see all these players doing so well this year including Wawrinka.
