I think Andy Murray is the heavy favorite for the title there. I believe he will be ready.

I think so too. If he looks this good on the clay, the grass is going to be out of sight.

I believe Andy Murray, OBE, will still have to step it up on the grass from where he has been to succeed this year.

We have to look at him realistically. He has beaten only 1 top 20 player this year, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in Miami, and Tsonga was going through a rough patch and not playing very well at the time, top 20 level at best in my opinion and has never done that well in Miami, reaching the QF three times out of seven.

Still, Andy showed some promising signs in Rome against Nadal, so with some more good play at Roland Garros, and at the grass prep tournament, he might be ready.  I only hope he doesn't take a step back before then.  Coming back from an injury or surgery can be tough.  Two steps forward, one step back kind of progress for awhile.  Hopefully for him, he is nearing the end of that phase.

Respectfully,

Mr. Andy Murray, OBE will have the honor of playing the first match at the Wimbledon Championships this year.

Hopefully the memories of last year will come flooding back to him and inspire him to continue on to even greater heights.

By the way, I don't see Mr. Lendl's departure as a big deal.
Hopefully Andy Murray doesn't dwell on it.
Andy learned all he could from him and used it well.

And Andy did something Mr. Lendl wasn't able to do - win Wimbledon, though to be fair, the grass competition was brutal in Lendl's day and the grass much faster, certainly not fitting to the style of Lendl's game - power baseline player.

Andy only needs to remember all Ivan imparted to him and move on.

Just 3 weeks until Wimbledon.

I am not happy with the Silent Swiss Assassin.

He could have used another match or two on clay for his ground preparation coming into the grass season.

There is still work to do for him.  Maybe it will work out for the best.  He is not getting any younger, and too many matches at RG might have tired him for the grass.  We will see.

Andy is a great talent. He can have a coach, or not. He'll figure it out.

He seemed lethargic. Maybe all the excitement from the past month or so having the twins finally caught up to him. Then, he rushed back too early. Sometimes the weariness hits you at the worst time. That's what it seemed like to me.

it will be a little cooler in London.

also andy has some time to fix a few issues. he got caught up in two 5 setters and it left him leg weary.

he is still the favorite for the queens title and the Wimbledon title.
