Were better than fine wine
Frenzied is our love making
Enjoying the zest

Five minutes ago
You looked into my eyes
"Will you be mine?"
I love you so
With fingers entwined
Our enraptured kisses
You're my destined love

Five seconds ago
Breathlessly I said
"Yes"

Miraculous are the hazy dreams
Visualized into reality

Eyes glazed over from the grief that subdued all emotions
Wandering aimlessly trying to keep focus
It’s all unraveled, it’s all gone
Worded devotions
Of love never meant a thing
But everything comes to an end
New starts, new cycles, charging through cluttered notions
Spring is noted as a rebirth
Time to let things unfold and stay behind us
Activity breaks all forms of inertia, needed motions
Clear away years of stuff that once mattered
Only to understand that it stood in the way of advancement
Created a varied stance of commotions
Realizing none of it is needed here and now
Spilt milk and it’s glass carrier is now shattered
Contentment is a false illusion of momentary happiness
Advancing with movement to reach another level
Be it the video games or the game of life
Stop making words sound like promises
Shake virtual hands of being friends with kindness
Let it start another day
And silently walk away

Capturing the beauty of the glistening blue sky
Just after a rainfall
Reveling as the sun warms my upturned face
Alerted to the birds chirping in readiness for a call
Of sustenance
Awakening all senses to the certain inclusion of summer
That’s not quite here
But not too far
Watching as the peonies stalks starting to grow
And the blossoming of the cherry tree
Sharing meals and water with the city’s tiny creatures
Gathering food for their loved ones
Natures evidence that they take what they need
With enough to feed their young ones

Love watching different shades of love evolve
With kindness under God’s care

In the stillness of the night
I can hear the ticking of the grandfather clock
Tick tock, tick tock!
It has the regal air of yesteryear
In todays counting of time of our smartphones
Some still sport a wristband or a time piece
Valuable commodity of time is and has been wasted away
Precious moments are forged in anxiety of what will be
We’ve forgotten how to look each other in the eyes
Instead we speak forgetfully whilst staring at a screen
Woefully focused on which ever social media platform
Has captured our attention
Millions of images swiftly playing and were catatonic with this obsession
No not the scent, the tech gadget
Perhaps I’m wistful of what might’ve been
Or simply missing human interaction
Where I could and can physically view and or touch the person
I’m sitting across and watch the action of the reaction
Just being there
Just because…
