The ache is fanatical
Feels as though my heart will break
The tears are running like a broken faucet
Streaming as the breathe intake
Broken through sobs
Constricted intertwined confusion
In the morning she seemed fine
By the evening strike of nine
Third flatline
Echoes of code blue
Announcement throughout the hospital
Emergency room one
What?
Nooooooooooooo
That's MY Mother
Unbeknownst to me
Sped steadily to the nurses station
Many interns were being taught
A conclusive  lesson
Code blue was the repeated mantra
Broken records were never my fave
Monitor showed me a consistent
Straight line
Beeping to its own rhythm + rhyme
Doctor had his workout cut out for him
Pounding her chest
With intensity
That her legs would pop off
The table with every thrust
I peeked through the heavy curtains
Lifeless body was my mom
Oh God, dear God
She's been through enough
Have mercy on her
Please take her
Mom, my sweet Mom
I love you
I set you free
Beautiful please go home
I will miss your sparking blues
Your various attitudes
Your Spartan fiery spunk
You raised me to achieve things
You were denied
Last two mornings I awake
Sensing your need for me
I miss you Mom
I love you

I love your latest poem. I think it's very good.

I stepped out of the darkness & into the light.
When I looked through the window everything was bright.

When I looked out of the window all flowers & trees were in full bloom.
All the doom & gloom mainly came from the t.v., radio & newspaper in the room.

I soon learnt that sometimes we have to hold on to hope & lose all fear.
That is the best way to be of good cheer.
