Funny people taking an everyday event
To illicit a laugh
Smiles masking all afflictions
Jokes to incite a light hearted attitude
Devoid of the paroxysm of agony
Darkness envelopes their souls
Their desire to please
Make others happy
An action they complete with ease
Diverting their continual torment
Theatrical beliefs that they are whole
The eyes speak differently ~ contradict
Smiles do not compliment
Their lacklustre stare
That refute the glow
Lifeless and somber, invalidate
Their boisterous over the top personalities
Facial venalities
Of deep dark despair
Where breathing air
Is a tremendous task
Yet that horrific mask
Smiles tattooed
The Show must go on

Listening to the rhythmic sounds of nature
Birds chirping at dawn
Busily nourishing their spawn
Lonesomeness
Self inflicted is quite addictive
Meditative confinement
Basking in the glory
Refinement
Of the wonder of Gods gifts
Crisp cool spring breeze
Slip out of the heavy coat with ease
Earthly smell of the thawing ground
I swear I can hear the planets core pound
Matching the beat of my heart
Facing the sun kissed sky
On this brand new start
Of my day
Squirrels come out to play
Still too early for humans to scurry
Appreciation for my seclusion
Relishing the connection
Welcoming Gods Grace
Thankful today
My way of preparing
To face lifes trials & tribulations
With no expectations
Enjoying the moments
Clarity in all of my involvements
Elegance of my purification
Daily commencement

Hard, it's so hard
To watch you degenerate
Deteriorating
Youre dragging your 'Good' leg
Moaning with intense pain
Regarding the imperceptible strain
Written all over your face
Memories flooding as I hold your hand
To that time and place
When I was only four
You helped me with a handstand
That lead to a new dance
That made me soar
Hard, it's so hard
To watch you failing
Your words inaudible
Slurring and garbled
Moaning is your loud new audible
Sound
Hard, it's so hard
Your strengths are now your weaknesses
In the last few hours to watch you fall to the ground
Hearing you scream in fear
Watching your eyes tear
Pleading
Your eyes speaking
Begging me to find answers
It's hard, so hard
My once healthy beautiful mother
Our roles reversed
I am your care giver
My heart breaks each time I hear her
Cry
Praying to God
To take her and Why?
