Bittersweet are the moments when change takes place
Some things were ready to let go, some wistfully unsure
Looking forward to move ahead and look at life in the face
Taking a leap of faith, even if it feels unbalanced
Knowing deep inside love is the cure

Ice formations all across the balcony glass doors
Location Northern Hemisphere above the 49th
Officially where Spring begun
Scattering of snow to keep score
That winter still has a strong hold
Coldness feels colder if that is possible
Faces turn towards the sky searching for the clouds to break
Looking for the golden rays of the Sun
Roller coaster rides of highs and lows
Optimistics bravely sporting shorts in the cold
Luckily the hour is earlier for daybreak
Natures nakedness bares it all for everyone

Tears & sobs are dry
The dull ache in my body still throbs
Acknowledgement of what’s deep inside
Pained for having given every little piece in hopes of reciprocity
Only to find it vast & empty of feelings
Shorn down to the core
The throbbing continues
It’s as though there is a separate heartbeat
One that has been dismissed and forgotten
Distraught for allowing access to my heart
Giving peace by piece as you gleefully denied
Then threw it all away

Every day goes by the ache subsides
You were never here to stay
Not in this body
Not in this realm
Of yesterday, today or tomorrow
Forever gone right here and now

The noise is deafening
Screams high pitched
Fear is swallowing any sense of security
Bombs killing innocent children
No where to run
No where to go
Government voted by people
Turning a blind eye to the needs of the people
Spendthrift racketeering for every prick
Spending our hard earned money
To shove their narrative through mainstream media
Regurgitating it openly
Sheep continue to wear the blinders
And the screeches grow louder
Blaming each other
Separate and segregate
Follow what we say
Not what we do
For ‘they’ want to control
You

Often wonder why I stayed
Days turned into weeks
Strange how the tick tock of the clock is gone
Ubiquitous multiplayer phone is what we seek
Constantly clasping it near and dear
When will they answer, a constant fear
Weeks on end, have we been played
What have we accomplished
But a lesson
Found ways to tweak
When we play again
