There’s a chill in the air
Afterall it is Fall
Autumn leaves are slowly turning
Mostly green, some have a red orange flair
Walking through the woods
Tall trees wall to wall
Have a different feel
Sun is still streaming through the limbs
All animals are scurrying preparing
For their hibernation
Returning to compile their fare
Gloves, scarfs and hats
Being spotted across the city
Inner city eyes divert
Through the parks
A nod and a smile
Occasionally a “hi”
Far more welcoming
When the dogs abound
Expecting a greeting
Living in the city has its perks
As does living in small towns
All very different
Loving all, no need for comparisons
Simply
Enjoying
All the four seasons
