It reminds of the scripture that says that rain falls on everyone, the good and the bad (I'm paraphrasing).But some people see it as "what's the point?" Getting through tough times is a blessing though, it makes you stronger for the future and can help those around you to see the inner strength and resolve that comes from trusting God.
