There is a website where you can look up celebrity fanmail addresses. I mostly write to tennis players.

I send a letter and a self-addressed stamped envelope. The way you do this is go to the post office and see how much it costs to send the letter. Then get stamps for the same amount and put them on the envelope with your address on it. So, send that envelope together with the letter asking for an autograph. I also enclose a piece of cardboard to keep it straight. If the celebrity lives outside of the USA then I either just send the self-addressed envelope or sometimes enclose about $5 for postage.

So far I have gotten amazing responses from Agassi, Sampras, Borg, McEnroe,Laver,Edberg,Chang, Lendl, Safin, Graff, Bruguera, Mattek-Sands, Janowicz.
