this French open is just what rafa needed. it will restore a lot of his confidence back for the north american hard court circuit now.
not sure if he can bag both Toronto and Cincy again but he should be able to do well there anyway.
and I am picking him right now and right here for the title at flushing meadows.
Well, well, well, what a difference a (Sun)day makes. Last week you could've been picked up for felonious assault for your irritation with Rafa at him not doing what you told him to do.
And I could be scolded for losing a bit of the faith. How many times is Rafa going to have to prove to both the public and his most adoring fans, that the monikers of gladiator and warrior are genuine?
No matter what ebbs and flows he goes through, Rafa always somehow manages to surprise the tennis world, time after time again (we should be used to this).
It's like a rollercoaster being his fan, but once the ride is over, you realize just how exhilarating it was as you went through it.
Now, we can bask in our (temporary) euphoria for a week or so, before we get antsy and start doubting The Kin9, once more. For now, let's just enjoy it. We sure spent enough emotional energy to afford us that, LOL.
