this is a tough draw for Rafa. he needs a title to restore some confidence and some momentum.

if we don't get this then we will just have to go after Barcelona title. and then perhaps with a little bit of luck we can snag the rome title.


we will just have to see. a lot has to go right and we need a little bit of luck.


and certainly no more injuries this season. he has had enough of them to last several lifetimes.




and once this clay season and grass season is over he needs to make a decision to practice a little more on clay bring that ground game back.


clay is the wellspring from which he flows. clay is the only thing that can revive him and his game.


and he has to start doing more with fitness. there is a reason why djokovic and Federer are doing so well and why they never get hurt.


ferru is 33 now and fitter than he has ever been. he is working on his fitness 7 days a week.

Very tough draw from the beginning. There will be no rounding into shape. Rafa has to be ready from the first ball. Fingers crossed he can do it.

we need a little bit of luck. it would help if the first 2 matches go smoothly and efficiently. and somewhat quickly of course.
