I love it.
When we were younger we lived in this apartment. It was well past its glory days, but it was such a beautiful place. It had these long corridors, a dumbwaiter, and the closets had these built in drawers and a glass window at the top.
The mantel was beautiful and it had a log like that. When we turned it on at night the room just glowed. I always loved sitting there watching the fire.
In the house that I bought many moons ago I have a Rookwood fireplace, which I don't like very much. My friend who has the same one has the colors that I would have wanted. Everyone loves this fireplace except me. But I think a fireplace log will soften me up. I had never looked into it, kind of forgot about it, but I was at Home Depot last month and a lady was buying one at the counter.
I couldn't believe it. So, after the weather breaks I am going to get one.
Today it was 40 degrees, but at night the temperature is dropping alarmingly. I had parked outside because I still have some things to clear out of the garage. I went to get something out of my car and I couldn't even get in it. I used some de-icer and even that didn't open the door.
As I am sitting here typing the wind is howling, and I do mean howling. It sounds like a freight train. I have never experienced this before. It's actually almost scary.
I cannot wait for this weather to break. We are surrounded by trees.
Lord, help me.
