Ha ha those communist bastards at tennis warehouse shut down the biggest nadal thread they have.

Some of those great nadal fans just can't seem to break away from that pathetic toxic dump.

They need to venture out to Camelot and talk about their players freely here.

Rafa gets zero respect from the tennis warehouse mods and admin there.

Spot on general hercules.   It's full speed ahead from now on through Roland Garros.  Rafa can't afford any setbacks or steps backward.

Thank for posting the practice videos.  At least two things bothered me in those.  After hitting 8 to 10 shots he looked very winded or leg tired or something.  He doubled over twice.  That just doesn't seem right for him.  Also, when he lifted his shirt, I thought I could see love handles on his sides.   His fitness has really slipped from what it was a couple of years ago.  He must get that back to have any significant chance when he plays the top guys.  Heck forget the top guys.  When Fognini and others can outlast him after a set or two, you know it's going to take a lot of work for him.

I look at this as a long term process for him.  What he can't afford to do is to try to extend himself more than he is ready to do, or he'll end up hurting himself and suffer even a bigger setback.  This is my chief worry, since he has so big a heart and tries so hard on most every point.  So I'd rather he gradually gets back into his fighting shape and plays continuously, without these big gaps we've been seeing, even if it costs him in the short term.

Respectfully,
masterclass

Great post general.

I am out on the road at the moment.

There is a very significant drop in fitness and his once supreme physicality.

I saw those videos and I saw very clearly that the drop is very significant.

Are you serious? There were two of them. The original one got messed up somehow. You couldn't go into the last page and had to click on the older pages and go by tens to get to the current page, but someone started a new Nadal thread. I'm going to check to see if they got rid of both.

But, the Nadal fans. I don't know why they stay. The mods are extremely biased and they're always banning them for the most innocuous posts, but if they choose to stay there...

SMDH.

I went and checked and I got to page 10 and didn't see either Nadal News threads. That is sad. But, if the Nadal fans put up with it, that's their problem. I enjoy talking tennis too, but after awhile I refused to deal with the BS. Let TT continue to kick them. Evidently they don't mind.

Rafael Nadal not panicking over tennis slump ahead of French Open tilt

Rafael Nadal has insisted he is not panicking over his form slump which has placed question marks over his dream of a 10th French Open title.
abc.net.au

Rafael Nadal has insisted that he will not panic over his worrying slump in form which has placed serious question marks over his dream of a 10th French Open title.

The 28-year-old Spaniard is down at four in the world rankings and has maximum points to defend at next week's Madrid Masters where he is the double defending champion.

Nadal has just one title to his name this season - on clay in Buenos Aires - while his only victory over a top-10 player came against compatriot David Ferrer in Monte Carlo, where he went on to a tame semi-final loss to in-form Novak Djokovic.

But the 14-time major winner believes the clay courts of Madrid, where he was also champion in 2010, give him the perfect opportunity to jumpstart his bid for a 10th triumph at the French Open in June.

If I maintain the same desire and work rate, I hope to once again have the same chance to compete for everything like I have in the past.
"I have the confidence that I am doing things well. When you do all you can, you can't ask for any more," Nadal was quoted by El Pais.
"I need to have a balanced point of view that is not too negative or positive. If I maintain the same desire and work rate, I hope to once again have the same chance to compete for everything like I have in the past."

Nadal's most recent outing ended in a dispiriting third-round exit to Italy's Fabio Fognini on clay in Barcelona, a venue where he had been champion eight times.

However, he believes Madrid can represent a turning point as he attempts to re-establish himself as a major force in the sport after an injury and illness-hit conclusion to 2014 which saw him miss three months of the season.

"Madrid has always brought me positive energy. Both the fans and the city have given me everything I could dream of. I know things have gone worse that I would have liked up until now, but that doesn't negate my excitement to be here," he said.
"I can only keep going. After so many ups and downs I am sure that the consistency I want to have will arrive. If you have the desire, and I have, you can turn the situation around."

Wow Lady TT, General, I don't know how you come up with all of these articles.  Some good reading there.

Looks like Andy Murray has a clear shot at his first clay title, albeit a 250, before he has even played a second match.  Seeds have fallen in Munich like flies caught in molasses.  If Bautista Agut goes down against the soon to be 35 year old veteran Victor Estrella Burgos, he won't face a seed till the final, and maybe not even there if neither Goffin or Kohlschreiber survive the semis.

Too bad Rafa didn't enter there or Estoril.

Yep. His best chance to take a big clay title had to be Monte Carlo 1995 against Thomas Muster.
Becker had a 2 set to love lead, but in those days Masters finals were best of 5 sets.  It was on his racquet in the 4th set tiebreak.  He had two match points at 6-4,  double faulted, and Muster went on to take the rest to win the tiebreak 8-6, and Becker was crushed, getting bageled in the deciding 5th set.

Here is the full match...

Are you serous? They are abusing him for talking about Rafa? That's some BS, but people deserve what they take. You know I didn't put up with that bull crap. Can you believe in the seven years that I was there I never got banned? Even I didn't understand it because they banned Rafa fans for the slightest things, and I always spoke my mind.

When I first got on that board they used to come at me 15-20 at a time. It was crazy, but before that I had been on the ESPN boards and it was the same thing. If you were a Rafa fan, they let the posters treat you any kind of way, but noooo. you'd better not say anything to them. I remember telling that with the way they acted, no matter how big the ESPN board was, it would go down.

When I finally found TT I didn't go back to ESPN, but about six months to a year later, I went back and it was like a ghost town. Hopefully, that happens to TT, but if the Nadal fans stay and let them chit on them, what can you do?

I don't understand the rationale behind it either. One of the reasons I stayed at TT so long was the Nadal News thread, and the other reason was to hone my skills in learning how to respond no matter how vile and vicious the attack, with calm and poise.

Once I learned that and then you opened your forum, I was out of there. The last time I went there I didn't even recognize a lot of the people. Of course, I didn't go into a lot of threads, but the usual suspects weren't starting threads. I hope TT goes down, because what they're doing is wrong, on so many levels.

Muster brought superior fitness and his relentless will to win that day.

Muster did not lose many finals.

He was a clutch performer at the big dance (finals).

Very tough draw for Rafa.

He has hardly any matches under his belt.

They all have been playing and also practicing like mad.

I will just hope for the best.

Maybe Rafa can dig deep but I just don't see the preparation.

I don't know why is taking such a massive gamble.
