Crows do circle
A murderous shape
Crowning the battle below
Death & destruction
A victor arises
Out of carnage
Where screams echo

Be not thou bashful
Timorous of desire
Your destiny awaits
If you but have the courage
The strength of will

To reach out a fist
Grasp the nettle
Take what has been sorely won
Thru rivers of blood
You've waded
For this moment

Let not the demons of thy mind
Steer you from your dread course
Lay on with all your steadfast might
Goal now in sight

Shimmering circlet
Gleaming to rival the sun
Awaits the gauntleted fist
But which stouthearted warrior
Shall win?

A duet in blood
A dance almost done
The crows are settling
The battle almost won
One final thrust
One last slice

The gods will decide
A victor they favour
Their capricious natures
Played out in the realm of man
Our chosen saviour

Sightless eyes gaze skywards
Awaiting the herald's cry
Future hangs in the balance
Fortunes wheel halts
Dire portents unfold

Her silent vigil almost done
The man he was
No more
His soul but lingers
Loathe to leave
A bond too strong
Too bold
To cleave
