Happy New Year to you Clay! We celebrate New Year at midnight on 31 December by drinking with family, saying Happy New Year & joining hands & singing Auld Lang Syne. At 1 time people used to go around other people's houses celebrating & it was seen as lucky if the first person who entered your house after midnight was a tall, dark, handsome stranger especially if he was bearing gifts. I respect your culture. I was just telling you about our ways as I know you like to learn about other people's ways.
