Colour versus color?
I wish it was so easy. I was expected to fill in an American application form instead of a British 1 & American qualifications are different, our post codes have 6 characters whereas zip codes have 5 characters, our telephone numbers have a different amount of digits too. I was also expected to do an American maths test with money questions & I don't know anything about American money especially as they have nickels & dimes & I don't know what they're worth. To me nickel is metal & a dime is a certain brand of chocolate bar. We only learnt some American spelling at school & some American history. We learnt about Columbus, Vespucci, native Americans, Mountain men, home-steaders, Cattle-ranchers, cowboys, the gold rush & America's role in W.W.I. (We don't have High School diplomas & degrees, we have G.C.S.E.'s & I don't know whether Americans even have an equivalent to Retail N.V.Q.'s, C.L.A.I.T., Word processing Level II. certificates & E.C.D.L. Luckily I got a new job before I needed to hand it in.
Wow...there is a difference.
Being Canadian, we have a certain idea about Britain.
Being neighbours with the United States...we have a certain idea about them
I have travelled to the US over 30 times.
I want to visit Britain.
