Pandora's Box
The world is outside.
I am in here,
Hidden from view.
Spring entices, flaunting her finery,
Gold, white and pink
Against a backdrop of blue and green.
The birds, dark beads,
Swim through the sea of fabric to
Accentuate the splendour of her gown.
Heedless and unmoved, I watch
With the careless eyes of a stranger,
For skin covers and bones hide
Pandora's Box, open inside.
God protect the beauty
Of this blossoming world.
Build thick walls around the heart
That would contaminate such a land.
What a wonderful way to describe the beauty of nature. I particularly like the part speaking on our responsibility to preserve this beautiful earth. You are very talented.
