The first song I ever attempted-it's better with music, trust me

Inside the moment

I was looking for the joy inside the moment
I'd been searching for so long to understand
And all my prayers were answered in that instant
that you matched me stride for stride and held my hand

Chorus:- And our love it soared across the heavens
There was beauty in all that we could see
But the peaceful river has it's destination
in the cold unfeeling depths of brutal sea

You opened up a door that led to freedom
And I found a me I'd never known inside
I stepped into a world of fascination
That holds me fast in spite of tears we cried

Chorus:- And our love it sparkled like the sunlight
There was wonder in all that held my gaze
And I truly thought we'd be forever
But forever is the sum of numbered days

Bridge:- Do you believe we all have destinations
Perhaps my lesson's written in the stars
Like Eve I traded innocence for knowledge
And the learning quenched my thirst but left me scarred

My pain it swelled like waves upon the ocean
And the loss was all that I could see
But the beauty of forgiveness brought me healing
And moving on has made me truly free

So now I live the joy in every moment
And I reach out to the world with both my hands
And my love returns to me in countless measure
Like caressing of the waves upon the sands

I am pretty sure you have heard about Sylvia Plath. I read about her in high school.

I posted this at the other thread also. this also looks like a classic by Sylvia Plath:

Our worlds are shaped
So I am told
By what we, each of us, behold
And everything you say or do
Is altered by the way I view.

We act as though our worlds are one
"Right is right and wrong is wrong"
When actually there's more, you see
We each have our own reality.

You offer apples sweet and red,
Yet I see poison in my head.
I tender loving compliments,
You twist my words and take offense.

That gorgeous shade I see, of green,
Perhaps, in your eyes, is not seen.
And all the rose tint that I view,
May be for you some other hue.

My world you cannot know I fear
Tho' I would share what I find here:
A peace that's rich, a love that's true
A beauty rare, a joy to view

Each stranger's heart I hope will be
The one to truly see like me
I search the earth whereve'er I roam
For worlds, the mirror of my own

If this is true as it would seem
I am the ruler of my dream
Thus I control what happens here
And how each person does appear

And curious as it seems to be
This world does, in fact, revolve round me!!

indeed.

some of these we probably came across in high school. it is just fun finally understanding them better now.

we have great poetry everywhere now here.

it is cool to see this place come to life right before our very eyes.
