Owen, your response got lost in quotes but more importantly, I am trying to figure out if this is a genuine response from you or if this is another famous sarcasm of yours. I am serious.

It's serious.  Facebook has it's uses - i.e. I share pictures of the kids to their grandparents and aunties back in the UK, but most people seem to use it as a vehicle to drone on about how crap they feel and it's usually related to something relatively minor in the great scheme of things.  I can't say I'm much of a fan. 

I like Twitter though - get loads of news and info from that.
