Why were you rooting for Federer? Anyway, as I've already mentioned in one of my posts here, Federer now has a whole new army to deal with. He's not getting younger and these players are playing better as their reaching that age. Federer can only sneak in if he gets a very nice draw and that will be hard to get in Masters or Majors. And he's more keen on that.



I don't really have much confidence in monfils. he has been too inconsistent for too long.

roger on the other hand is pretty good on fast hard courts. I wanted a to see a tough nole vs roger battle.



I agree with you. It is only going to get harder and harder from here on out. he is going to have to work really hard if he wants to stay a factor in the game.

mr tee nole has far fewer return issues on quicker surfaces.

he also controls the center of the court better by playing close to the baseline.


it's a very tall order for del potro. nole leads 9-3 in their head to head meetings.

that said, del potro might be able to get by. this is as good as he has ever played.

should del potro fail to take the title, it will go to show just how tough it is today to even win masters title.


it was a good loss for nadal as far as I am concerned. he has played way too much tennis. he could compound the knee issue if he is not careful.

what he is doing is raking in just enough points to make sure the number one rank is locked up.


he is also getting plenty of matches under his belt so he can hit the ground running in 2014.

Yep, Rafa losing another final to Nole would not be good for his confidence at the moment. I wonder how much effort he will put in Basel. If he goes all out and wins it or reaches the final then he can skip Paris.

my little brother just called and demanded my presence at his plantation home in Baton Rouge,  Louisiana.


he wants to celebrate my birthday early.

anyway my birthday is actually on the 17th of October but he wants to celebrate tomorrow evening.

he is going to fix steaks and salmon. it doesn't get much better than that.


its a long drive from the gulf coast but it is  always worth the drive to be with family and friends.
