yep, no upsets on the men's side in the bottom half. Lady TT, you've got the woman's side going to I see, good work...
Thought for sure Simon was going to do it when he went up 2 sets to 1. Maybe he thought the same and that was the problem. Give credit to Milos for hanging in and turning it around. Bautista-Agut was a stab in the dark searching for another upset. He got one set, but was outplayed for the most part by a fairly solid Berdych.
Let's see what happens to the top half tomorrow. Hey, when you pick upsets, you don't really expect them to win, you just think the potential is there, and sometimes some people pick them for the "jinx" effect.
Respectfully,
masterclass
Yeah, I watch the women too. But, I need to start checking out the H@Hs, although, like you I see predicting simply as possibilities and potential.
I didn't vote for Stosur to get through because she isn't as competitive as a Cibulkova, but come to find out Dominika has struggled with Sam, now five straight. I would've never guessed that. The same with Ivanovic, I had no idea that Lucie had her number to that extent, but they said this was the fifth time in a row that Lucie beat Ana. What's weird about that is that they don't seem to play very often so now that H2H I will remember.
That jinx thing? I didn't know that was real. I can't believe people will do something so silly.
I thought for sure Simon was going to win that match, especially with a 2 set lead, but credit to Raonic he is maximizing his potential and it's good to see. That's why I think he will probably strike first, but not necessarily be the breakout star of his generation. He's being very wise and prudent, while the other young guns don't appear to be viewing the present in terms of the long run.
I voted Berdych with my heart. I thought Agut had a good chance to win that match, but Tomas is pretty serious about his game too, and he hasn't been taking his career for granted. Remember how he used to go away all the time? Now, he actually thinks he can win a slam.
