Tears have been cascading
Streams fluidly visible
Appears Mother Nature
Is imitating
Or ridiculing
Not sure anymore
Lost my inner knowing
My nails are digging
Deep into the skin of my palms
Crescent moons shapes
As a couple break the skin
Crimson seeps through
To the surface
Taunting me
Out of my reverie
Shocking me from emotional blue
Pulling away from what I thought I knew
Those who truly care
Will offer a word
Or will calmly share
Words of sympathy
Intense sensitivity
Has a peculiar proclivity
Sorrow has been misbehaving
It's sticking to me like tar
Hard to remove its blackness
From the heaviness of my heart
Rules don't apply the same way
Unknown the direction I will follow
For certain
Tomorrow is another day
