For days the sky has been heavy with emotion
Cathartically clearing the denseness
With a vehemence and a responsiveness
By shedding a sorrowful outpouring of tears
It's been a record year
For the immense rainfalls
In a 24 hour period
Onslaught of 4 or 24 downpour
Flooding has affected the region
Everyone is claiming global warming
My thoughts vary
It's not even so much as a warning
The planet with Father Sky + Mother Earth
Are efficiently grieving
For all the pain
Of the constant strain
Crying all the tears
Wild cracking of the skies
As it's drenching the aching earth
I feel it's calling out for love
Pure + simple
A token of love
