Shockingly still
Unable to chose the words
It’s not about right or wrong
It’s stopping all the sentences
That are rambling in my head
Thoughts combined
In tens, hundreds, thousands
Morphed from the disdain
Grotesque in their fabricated tries
Beware of those who appear strong
Smiles will hide
What’s dead inside
Looks closely
Sadness enveloped in the eyes
Smiles all around deceive
Those who won’t dig deeper
Who prefer to be deceived
Just dig a hole
Cover it with the sand
Hide it under
All emotions
Obscure it in the wasteland

Back to those words
Silence is screaming
Loudly in the heads
Of those who choose to look the other way
Complicit in observing
Complicit in withholding

Silence is loud
I’m bleeding the words
There is no rhyming prose
Freely expressing
Thoughts morose

Pain in the heart
After many years
Still presently stark
Omnipresent
