Anger usurps a balanced state
Seething rage erupts
When injustice cracks the code
More + more I notice
Many can relate
Observing blatant actions
Unwilling reactions displayed
Torrential emotions erode
My positive side dismayed
My mask slips on effortlessly
Smiles all around
Containing the fires
While putting it on ice
Green eyed monster has
Stabbed me in the back
Yet again
Continuous attack
Has been pounding
These last weeks
I’ve felt the strain
Igniting the alcohol
The flames burn higher
Rage was chained and caged
For many years
Erratic hunger of this behaviour
In the past subtly crossed my mind
Of late it crosses its path
Like a tumultuous hurricane
Forcing the reminder
That just because you won’t hurt others
Don’t assume they won’t
Go out of their way
To hurt you
