Abruptly shaken out my reverie
By the doorbell ringing
Followed by the persistent knocking
On the door
I’ve often imagined
When death decides to beckon you
There is no closed door
That can keep you apart

Door swings wide open
You end up leaving everything behind
There is no more procrastination
There is no tomorrow
To finish that project

Grim reaper has a job to do
Saint Peter has called your name
Pearly gates are wide open
Nothing ever remains the same
