This friendship is far from real

Social media
When everything that seems
Dissolves depending if one can benefit

Could be why
I often choose to deactivate
To cleanse my senses
Of all the strange propensities
Separate the wheat from the chaff
In many ways

Funny that “friend”
Is lumped with a whole lot
Of “friends”

Where the illusion is shattered
I’ve seen the ugly facts
Beneath the mask
That over shone
By the smiles

Those fake friends

Friends who actually care
Have stood by
Virtually my friend
True virtual friends
Where the care is still there
