CAMELOT FANTASIES

Sunday night at 10 pm.
In my neighbourhood a crazed terrorist
With a single gun and reloading
Shot 15 people on Danforth Avenue

Two have passed.

I have been proud and continue to be proud.
I live in a big city in Canada
The freedom of being able to walk the Danforth
At 10 pm or even 11pm is a testament
To the safe feeling through our fine city

He may have created fear.
Traumatized people.
Last evening. After the forensic investigators
And police. Gathered information

The boundaries were lifted.
Joy for even after the tragedy
Throngs of people walked through the Danforth.

We had a vigil.
We smiled
We shook hands
We hugged.

On the other hand. Japan is going through a heat wave and over 200 lives
Rest In Peace.

Greece is going through fires with 49 peoplepassing

Rest In Peace.

Enlightenment for I know they have crossed to a peaceful place.

Forgiveness.
Even through the difficult process
Is strength
