I got an e-mail last week from my Manager saying Xmas events & parties were cancelled this year. I need Xmas though.

I'm glad to see you too.

I know.

It doesn't depress me. It's just that the musical & creative activities that are normally carried out at work at Xmas give me a well-needed break. Instead I've got to continue with the fun & fascinating but time-consuming job I've been spending a lot of time.

I've been enjoying myself since St. Andrews Day. I celebrate St. Andrews Day then I start celebrating Xmas.

St Andrews Day, November 30...we celebrate it then, my Fathers name was Andreas.
Like you and your loved ones, it most definitely was the kick off for Christmas for us as well.

Your creative heart and soul is making great headway, I’m certain.

Surrounding areas of Toronto are not under lockdown.
I’m in the city, so we are in lockdown.

Many people who can, do go to the outskirts of the city to enjoy some of the festivities, safely.

St. Andrews Day is indeed on 30 November. We celebrate it by listening to Scottish music & singing along. Then the day after we start celebrating Xmas.

I've also put our Xmas tree up.

We're not quite in lockdown now. Rules are relaxed for a week beginning on 23/12.
