The sky just opened up
A torrential downpour
Pounding through the atmosphere
Making contact with sidewalk
The earth needs to be replenished
Rehydrated to effectively partake
Cathartic is the rhythmic sound
Feels like the slate is washed away clean
Just before the rain made an impact
Tenseness was angrily intense
Each water droplet restores us to
Our individual balance
Taking us out of our trance
Stress dissolved in an instance
